The start with the monofin
Finis offers training aids, clothing and accessories for professional and leisure swimmers. John Mix and Pablo Morales founded the company in 1993 in California. The goal at the time was to bring Monofins to the market. Because this training aid got to know John Mix during a semester abroad in Austria and saw great potential in it. The success was followed by further developments, including a medium snorkel and the Hydro Hip for training the correct hip rotation.
Swimming accessories with special benefits
The international success came in 1996 with the Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Some athletes used Finis products and got the brand's attention. The result was further innovative products for swimming. In doing so, we work together with internationally successful athletes and coaches in research and development. In 1998, Finis launched swimming goggles especially for smaller children on the market. A very successful product is also MP3 player, with which you can listen to music while swimming. Later, Finis developed swimwear for performance-oriented swimming. With the Fuse series, Finis launched competition clothing for men and women. Today, the company has more than 40 offices worldwide.
